Tax relief
By donating to “Laiks Jauniešiem”, individuals and companies can receive income tax relief
For individuals
Individuals entitled to the reliefs set out in the law “On Personal Income Tax” - the reduction of taxable income for donated amounts may not exceed 20% of the taxable income earned. The relief can be claimed by submitting the annual personal income declaration.
For companies
Legal entities entitled to the reliefs set out in the Corporate Income Tax Act (Section 12) can reduce their tax in three ways. A donor may choose only one of them and apply it throughout the reporting year:
- 1.exclude the donated amount from the taxable base, but no more than 5% of the previous reporting year's profit after calculated taxes;
- 2.exclude the donated amount from the taxable base, but no more than 2% of the total gross wages calculated for employees in the previous reporting year on which state social insurance contributions were paid;
- 3.reduce the calculated corporate income tax on dividends by 75% of the donated amount, not exceeding 20% of the calculated corporate income tax on dividends - in this case the donation does not reduce the taxable base but the corporate income tax on dividends.
When making a donation to the organisation, please state the purpose of the donation so your contribution is used fully for the intended purpose - for example, “For youth activities”, “For charity”, “Donation”, and so on.
