The “Laiks Jauniešiem” association creates opportunities for children and young people to discover their strengths, act on their ideas and take part in society. We provide support, knowledge and experience so that every young person feels heard, valued and confident to take the next step.

Our story
At the heart of “Laiks Jauniešiem” is a belief - young people need opportunities, trust and people who help them believe in themselves. We build an environment where you can meet like-minded people, try something new and get the support to turn ideas into action.
Bringing together members, volunteers and partners from across Latvia's regions, we run activities nationwide. Our story is made by young people and their experience - a first act of courage, new skills, events they create themselves and initiatives that change life for themselves and those around them.

Promote the intellectual and creative development of young people, their personal growth, integration into society and participation in decision-making.

Promote a healthy lifestyle and sport, developing moral, spiritual and physical growth.

Help families, people with disabilities and lonely seniors by organising charity events.

Organise seminars, training, camps and individual consultations using non-formal education methods.

Promote young people's civic participation, strengthening the democratic environment in Latvia.

Promote and organise volunteering, raising its importance in society.

Develop full-fledged social services in Latvia that support young people.

Governance
How the association is run
The general meeting of members is the highest decision-making body; it elects the board and the chairperson. Day-to-day work is led by the head of administration, together with the regional branches in Bauska, Valmiera and Rīga and the thematic departments.
