What does it mean to be a member?
Being a member of the “Laiks Jauniešiem” association means being part of an organisation and a community where young people aren't just event attendees - they take part in generating ideas, making decisions and running activities.
Every member chooses how much they get involved, based on their interests, opportunities and free time. You don't have to be everywhere, but we do expect a willingness to stay informed, take part and help the organisation grow together with others.

Where can a member get involved?
A member can:

Take part in members' meetings, make proposals and get involved in the organisation's decision-making

Duties
What are a member's duties?
We expect a member to:
- Follow the association's articles, values and decisions
- Treat other members, young people, staff and partners with respect
- Take responsibility for the tasks they take on and inform us in time if they can't complete them
- Use the association's premises, equipment and other resources with care
- Look after the association's reputation and not share misleading information in public communication
- Get involved in the association's work within their means and help achieve its goals
A member doesn't have to be at every event or take on more than they can manage. What matters most to us is honesty, responsibility, mutual respect and a genuine desire to take part.
The “Laiks Jauniešiem” loyalty card is not an automatic membership perk - it goes to members and volunteers who actively take part in the organisation's everyday work, events and projects. The card offers special deals and discounts with our partners.

About getting involved and membership in the “Laiks Jauniešiem” association.
How do I join the “Laiks Jauniešiem” association?
In person - fill in the electronic application form, then an in-person meeting with a board member is arranged, where you go over any unclear questions, sign the form and wait for the board's decision. Remotely - download the form, fill it in and submit it as a document signed with eParaksts; if you have questions, contact the board members.
Is there a membership or monthly fee?
No. The organisation's goal is to give children and young people full-fledged non-formal education free of charge.
What are the ways to get involved?
After you fill in the form, the association's leadership will get in touch and tell you about the next steps and the ways to join the active youth team - in communication, event organising, charity and other areas. Everyone will find the area closest to them.
What are the main benefits?
It's a package of benefits - networking and meeting new people, gaining skills and experience in various fields, and doing quality volunteer work and receiving confirmation of it.
Can I take part in ERASMUS+ exchange trips?
Yes. Since 2022 the association has taken part in the ERASMUS+ programme and, following young people's initiatives, continues to submit both participation and exchange projects. Join us to write and carry out a project together!
