📌 🙌🏻 We are truly proud that, as part of the project, we managed to involve more than 300 young people in in-person activities and achieved at least 5,000 views of posts about the project’s activities on social media, as well as extensive coverage in the mass media – RETV, Bauskas dzīve and elsewhere.
✅️ As part of the project, we ran workshops and mock elections in schools.
✅️ We organised a two-day workshop and an online survey to summarise the key issues for young people in the context of the local elections.
✅️ We held extensive pre-election debates with the seven political parties standing in the local elections in Bauska District.
✅️ We organised wide-ranging joint debates with political party leaders.
✅️ We held a 24-hour election marathon, during which we conducted exit polls, observed the elections, held discussions with candidates throughout the night and celebrated the elections – a fundamental principle of democracy.
✅️ In the final phase of the project, we continued our dialogue with decision-makers and held a major closing conference attended by over 100 representatives from various municipalities across Latvia.
❤️ On behalf of the project team, we would like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who took part in the project’s activities, responded to our sometimes crazy ideas, to the decision-makers who recognise that young people ARE a vital part of society, and to the public for their interest and faith in our abilities.
🎯 This project was a collaborative effort and it proves that young people ARE our present.
We’re moving forward – see you in future projects and activities!
