📌 In this project, we plan to work with specific target groups in Latvia and Georgia to promote young people’s critical understanding of and participation in democratic processes.
💪🏻 The main target group is young people aged between 15 and 19, with a particular focus on representatives of less engaged groups, such as young people at social risk – those who face difficulties with learning, communication or social inclusion. This group often faces a lack of information on global development and democracy issues, as well as limited opportunities to express their views and participate in public life.
🎯 The aim of the project is to promote critical thinking, meaningful participation and mutual cooperation amongst young people in Georgia and Latvia, thereby strengthening civil society and supporting democratic values. The project’s activities are designed to foster a deeper understanding of democracy, human rights and sustainable development, whilst developing skills for active participation and the dissemination of information within society.
📍 Key project activities:
🔵 Development of a board game on democracy and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
🔵 Experience-sharing and training event (3 days)
🔵 Activities to disseminate the results and the board game
💯 The Georgian partner organisation – the non-governmental organisation Youth for Democracy (YFD) – will be actively involved in the project. YFD is a dynamic and goal-oriented youth community, established with a clear vision to empower young people to become active citizens capable of driving positive change in their society
