🙌🏻 The speaker responded to our invitation to visit the organisation in person to learn about its activities and current developments in youth work.
🗣 🎯 During the meeting, we discussed several important issues relating to youth participation and youth work in Latvia. We also discussed practical matters – the challenges faced on a daily basis by organisations working with young people, particularly those with limited opportunities. It is important that decision-makers also see this side of the work – the needs, problems and solutions required to ensure that young people truly have opportunities to get involved and develop.
❤️ The discussion with the young people themselves was also particularly valuable. We discussed voting from the age of 16, restrictions on mobile phone use in schools, artificial intelligence and other issues relevant to young people.
🫶🏻 Thank you for the respect you have shown, the time you have dedicated and your openness to dialogue with young people. It is important to us that young people’s voices are heard.
