In the first discussion, the number of young people is decreasing. At 13.00, together with experts, we will discuss the impact of the decrease in the number of young people on the Latvian economy, the cost to the country of each young person who has left Latvia, and why is it so important to involve and support young people?

Gints Klasons - sociologist, youth researcher, project manager of applied research projects of Latvian Academy of Culture, data analyst of the Latvian Civil Alliance;
Oļegs Krasnopjorovs - Doctor of Economics, Chief Economist of the Monetary Policy Board of the Bank of Latvia, Assistant Professor of the University of Latvia;
Sigita Purona-Sida - Geographer, Environmental Communication Specialist and Social Statistics Expert, Methodological Manager of Population Census and Social Surveys;
Nils Mosejonoks - Director of the Youth Policy Support Department of JSPA, Education Programme Possible Mission Graduate.
In the second discussion, young people's opportunities to start their own lives at 2:00 am At 15.00, together with experts, we will discuss young people's job opportunities, access to housing and transport, as well as other important issues that affect young people's opportunities to start a life of self.

The discussion will be moderated by a young professional with extensive experience in the field of civil participation in the NGO sector Emils Lukjanskis.
Discussions are implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science Youth Policy National Programmes 2022-2024. 2006 within the framework of state budget financing.
The aim of the discussions is to promote qualitative discussions and research journalism on topical youth policy issues within the framework of the European Year of Youth to highlight the importance of youth work.
