We have published the second video in a series of five videos on localisation, development cooperation and our experience in Georgia.

May 24, 2026

📌 In this section, we’ll talk more about why we got involved in this project in the first place – a desire to gain a better understanding of development cooperation, democracy and participation, and what these concepts look like in practice, not just on paper.

💡 During the project, it became clearer that democracy is not just about elections or grand words – it is also about the ability to listen, get involved, ask questions and express one’s opinion, even when it is not easy to do so. Participation begins with small actions – a conversation, an initiative, a willingness to understand others and the courage to share one’s perspective.

🗣 This experience has helped to confirm that, following the project, it is easier to get involved and express one’s views, as there is a greater understanding of how decision-making works, why the participation of different people is important, and how everyone can be part of the change in their community.

🎯 This video series was produced as part of the project ‘Effective and Accountable Development Cooperation Funding (2023–2025)’, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility under the Social Integration Fund.
