For the seventh year – “A Child’s Joy in Every Home”!
For some children, receiving a Christmas present is something they take for granted. For others, it is a sign that someone has thought of them.
As part of the “Hand in Hand” charity marathon, for the seventh year we are inviting you to help create festive joy for children and young people who, due to various circumstances in life, would otherwise miss out. Last year, together with you, we brought joy to 347 families in different regions of Latvia. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
To ensure that help reaches those who need it most, we work with the State Probation Service, social services and children’s homes, carefully assessing each individual need.
We invite businesses, organisations and each of you to get involved by donating a gift, making a donation or simply telling others about the campaign.
We are accepting gifts and donations from 1 November to 21 December.
HOW TO TAKE PART
1. Donate funds: laiksjauniesiem.lv/ziedot. Businesses can also sign an agreement and make a bank transfer.
2. Send gifts by courier or to a parcel locker in Bauska or Riga.
3. Invite us to you – prepare the gifts, and we will come to your business or organisation to collect them “hand to hand”.
4. Bring them in person: in Bauska, at 9 Slimnīcas Street (entrance from the courtyard), or in Riga, at 117A Vienības gatve.
WHAT TO GIVE
Sweets, toys, board games, books, jigsaw puzzles and clothing. Larger gifts are welcome too: scooters, bicycles, balls, educational games, and tickets to cultural or sporting events.

IMPORTANT!
Please do not wrap gifts in sealed bags or boxes. In previous years, we have encountered many cases where the contents did not match the label or the child’s age. Put the gifts in a cardboard box or bag and write the approximate age and gender on it. We will wrap them and make sure they reach the right recipient.
By donating to a public-benefit organisation, businesses and individuals may be eligible for tax relief.
