For the sixth year running, the charity campaign ‘Joy for Children in Every Home’ is being organised, with the aim of bringing joy to children and young people at Christmas

🎄 💕 For those who, due to various circumstances in their lives, are unable to experience the joy of giving and celebrating.

🎯 The ‘Laiks Jauniešiem’ association works in partnership with the State Probation Service, social services, as well as various children’s homes and and SOS Children’s Villages to carefully assess needs and ensure that the parcels reach the children and young people who need them most.

🙏 We invite businesses, organisations and individuals to join the association’s charitable work and offer their support by donating festive gifts or financial contributions to bring joy to children and young people, and to create unforgettable festive moments together.

🙌🏻 We invite you too to join this wonderful initiative and become part of this special Christmas tradition, where children’s joy is close to our hearts. With your support, we can bring the joy of giving and delight children and young people during this special festive season!

📌 Donations can be made from 9 November to 19 December.

✅️ MAKING A DONATION:

1. We invite you to donate funds conveniently via the “Laiks Jauniešiem” association’s website – https://www.laiksjauniesiem.lv/ziedot/ (to support activities for children and young people) by donating an amount that is convenient and suitable for you, or by entering into an agreement and making a bank transfer;

2. By sending prepared gifts via courier or a parcel locker – in Bauska or Riga;

3. By preparing the parcel (gifts) and requesting that a representative from our organisation visit your institution or business in person to hand over the gifts “in person”;

4. Personal collection from our offices – in Bauska, at 9 Slimnīcas Street (from the courtyard side) or in Riga, at 117a Vienības Street.

✅️ CONTENTS AND PRESENTATION OF GIFTS:

1. Please do not wrap the gifts in pre-packaged gift bags or boxes, as over the past five years we have encountered several (read: dozens) of instances where the contents did not match the description or were unsuitable for the intended audience.

We ask that you place the gifts in a cardboard box or bags – please indicate the approximate ages and genders of the intended recipients, and we will then take care of the appropriate packaging and dispatch or handover in the correct direction using specialised packaging;

2. The contents of the gift parcels may vary, and our aim is to bring joy to several hundred children and young people; the most common requests include, for example, sweets, toys, board games, books, puzzles, clothing, as well as slightly more expensive gifts (e.g. children’s scooters, bicycles, balls, educational games, tickets to cultural or sporting events, etc.);

3. If your company, organisation or as a private individual would like to fulfil a child’s bigger dream and present this gift in person or through us, please contact us directly so that we can find a suitable arrangement.
