☀️ 🎁 The event promises to be particularly exciting and varied – every visitor will have the chance to try their luck and win valuable prizes provided by the event’s sponsors.
🎉 During the event, visitors will have the chance to step into a world of adventure – meeting exciting fairy-tale characters who will inspire guests of all ages. Visitors will be greeted by a wide range of educational, creative and interactive activities – from games and workshops, to sporting and educational sessions, creating an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
🟠 Activity zone (13.15 – 17.15):
🔸️ The association ‘Mums Pieder Pasaule’ (‘We Own the World’) offers the chance to make your own dreamcatcher;
🔸️ The ‘Jaunatne smaidam’ / ‘Youth for Smile’ association will give you the chance to climb a mobile rock face, as well as take part in various sports tourism activities;
🔸️ The association ‘Bauskas Prātnieks’ will challenge participants to take their first steps or take part in draughts and chess activities;
🔸 Ambassadors from the international youth programme agency “Europeers” will talk about and share their experiences of opportunities for young people in Latvia and Europe;
🔸️ The Cerību spārni association will introduce the organisation’s work, the opportunities it offers and ways to get involved;
🔸 The Bauska District Tourism and Information Centre will organise “Weigh and Measure” activities at Bauska Town Hall. Visitors will have the chance to do jigsaw puzzles, play weighing and measuring games at the interactive stand, and measure themselves against the ‘tall men’;
🔸️ “Happy House”’s big friends – a bear and a panda – will challenge visitors to a “dance-off”, as well as offering face painting to event visitors in the tent;
🔸️ The Bauska Hospital consultation area, ‘Ask a Specialist’, where a nutritionist and a breastfeeding counsellor will offer valuable advice. There will be an opportunity to take part in the “Health Butterflies” creative workshop and join the “Box of Courage” charity campaign;
🔸️ At the State Police information tent, visitors will be able to find out more about the work of the police and their role in ensuring public safety;
🔸️ At the State Border Guard’s information tent, visitors will have the chance to familiarise themselves with the wide range of border guard technology and equipment, and meet a dog handler;
🔸️ The Youth Guard Centre will offer the chance to take part in tourism activities, watch demonstrations of how weapons are dismantled and reassembled, and find out how the Youth Guard promotes civic awareness and patriotism amongst young people;
🔸️ At the Bauska District Sports and Health Department, you’ll be able to test your accuracy with basketball free throws, as well as chat to a specialist about sports and health opportunities in the Bauska District;
Under the guidance of a professional graffiti artist, we will create a unique visual story using graffiti techniques, which will be on display until 19 August 2025 for anyone interested in Bauska Town Square;
🔸️ At the Bauska community centre “PASTA 5”, visitors will have the chance to let their creativity run wild in creative workshops;
🔸️ In the crafts area, you can let your imagination run wild – make colourful bracelets and adorn yourself with vibrant temporary tattoos.
🔵 Stage programme (13.00–20.00):
🔹️ 13.00–15.00: Performances by the dance group “Lēra” and artists from the popular music studio “Aprīļa pilieni”;
🔹️ 15.00–16.00 Discussion: ‘Opportunities for young people in Latvia and Europe, together with Europeers ambassadors’;
🔹️ 4.00 pm – 4.45 pm: Concert by singer Sabīne Berezina;
🔹️ 4.45 pm – 5.30 pm Performances by talented young people from various regions of Latvia;
🔹️ 17.30–18.30 Discussion: “The Family as Our Value – How Can We Provide Greater Support to Young Families and Improve Their Quality of Life?”;
🔹️ 6.30 pm – 7.00 pm: A RAFFLE organised by local businesses for event attendees (participants must visit at least 8 stations to collect stamps);
🔹️ 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm: Concert by singer Edvards Strazdiņš.
❗️ 🚗 We would like to draw the public’s attention to changes to the traffic arrangements.
To ensure the organisation and arrangement of the Family Day “Creative Together, Strong Together!” , parking spaces on Pasta Street from Riga Street to Plūdoņa Street and the car park at Rātslaukums (for entry and exit onto Kalna/Rīgas Street) from 22.00 on 11 August until 22.00 on 12 August, whilst a complete traffic closure – road closures are planned from 9.00 on 12 August until 22.00 on 12 August on the section of Pasta Street between Plūdoņa and Rīgas Street.
