Young people’s voices, participation and well-being – let’s discuss these issues on 20 June in Riga!

🤝🏻 The festival-conference ‘Together for Youth Leadership and Well-being’ will feature two valuable discussions in which, together with representatives from the youth sector, state, local authority and support system representatives, we will discuss how young people can get involved, influence decisions and feel safe in their everyday lives.

🔵 12.30 – discussion: “Young People: NOW”

🗣 We’ll be discussing the role of young people in society, opportunities for participation, involvement in decision-making, and how young people can influence processes that matter to them right now.

🔹️ Anna Ločmele – Senior Expert at the “Erasmus+” Department of the Agency for International Youth Programmes

🔹️ Daniēls Zeltiņš – President of the association “Klubs ‘Māja’”

🔹️ Ieva Siliņa – Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Science

🔹️ Oļegs Burovs – Member of the Saeima, Chair of the Public Administration and Local Government Committee

🔵 4.00 pm – discussion: “Participation begins with well-being”

🗣 In this discussion, we will focus on young people’s sense of security, mental health, support systems, an accessible environment and the conditions that enable young people not only to be present but also to actively engage in society.

💪🏻 These won’t just be ‘talking for the sake of it’ discussions – they’ll be conversations about how to make young people’s participation real, meaningful and accessible. Because young people’s voices aren’t just about the future, sometime down the line. They matter right now.
