Title of the event: How to improve life for young people in the new Bauska region
Location/time: Zoom platform,18:00,26.10.2021
Number of participants: 25
Description:
On Tuesday evening, the association invited members of Bauska County Council, youth specialists and young people to discuss the future of this area in the newly established Bauska region. The problem is enough, but a solution is still being sought.
At the beginning of the discussion, a number of problems were identified - cooperation between institutions and people, which they thought were most relevant. The youth workers, since I worked, were unable to meet together in a month. Gints Jankovskis, head of the society, revealed what cooperation can we talk about?
Liene Rotberga, a youth specialist in Bauska region, said that the situation is also due to the insufficient workload of youth workers working in another core job, so this work is not a priority for them. The association also outlined transport planning for young people to the villages in Bauska region.
√ Associations joined the discussion We own World /We Own the World/ Head Vita Reinfelde. It is only available to young people when a member of the Society is there. If we have received funding for acquiring young people's skills in the project, we are working with them in the premises, if we are a leader, then we are moving towards this goal. If the premises want to keep open all the time, it must be another person who works with it, V. Reinfelde.
Kristīne Pačkajeva, Youth Affairs Specialist at Vecumnieki, revealed that young people in Vecumnieki are active and get involved, but they lack space. We've been in different rooms, but we don't have our environment, so K. Pačkayeva. From the Vecumnieki side, no councillor was able to comment on this.
