Collections, stories, memories and people who passionately preserve entire worlds!
The Īslīce Cultural Centre in Bauska Municipality recently hosted a collectors’ gathering organised by the “Laiks Jauniešiem” association, bringing together owners of a wide variety of collections, enthusiasts and visitors in one place.
We were delighted to see how unusual and diverse the world of collecting can be – from pens, video games and gaming equipment from different generations, retro radios, coins, badges and other historical items to many more collections, where every exhibit has its own story. Sometimes it seems like just one item on a shelf, but behind it lies an entire era.
Event coordinator Evita Novicka:

That is precisely what gives a gathering like this its special feeling – each item becomes the beginning of a conversation and an opportunity to learn something new.”
The collectors’ gathering once again demonstrated that shared interests can bring together different generations and people with entirely different experiences. Thank you to every collector who entrusted us with part of their collection to display, and to every visitor who joined us!
