💯 ‘Time to VOTE!’ Conference As part of the Erasmus+ participation project “LAWAvailable 3.0”, an event was held at Forum Cinemas, attended by over 100 participants from various parts of Latvia. This was the project’s closing event.

🙌 We are delighted with the high level of engagement from youth organisations, political parties, educational institutions, informal groups, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Agency for International Youth Programmes, the State Education Development Agency, young people and other stakeholders – as we came together to discuss important issues relating to participation.

📢 The first discussion was attended by: Baiba Žiga (founder and director of Impulsum), Liene Valdmane (project manager of ‘Signālvēlēšanas’), Linda Abu Meri (Deputy Chair of Bauska District Council) and Randa Kenge (Head of the Youth Policy Division at the Ministry of Education and Science).

📢 The second discussion was attended by: Iveta Leitlante (Head of the Saulaines regional branch of KLT), Marita Bērziņa (Senior Expert at the Career Development Support Division of VIAA), Maija Kolberga (Director of the European Union Programmes Department at JSPA), Maija Ozoliņa (social worker at ‘Laiks Jauniešiem’), Selīna Bogdane (young volunteer at the ‘Laiks Jauniešiem’ Association).

👏 During the second half of the day, conference attendees had the opportunity to take part in various workshops, thereby discussing important issues in smaller groups – 1. Young people as real voters (led by Ingars Jēkabsons, Europeers ambassador), 2. Communication in the digital environment (led by Linda Abu Meri, Deputy Chair of Bauska District Council), 3. How to provide young people with basic knowledge about the electoral process (led by Mārtiņš Cimermanis, Councillor of Bauska District Council), 4. Mock elections and real elections: what the data tells us (led by Liene Valdmane, Project Manager of the ‘Signal Elections’ project), 5. Cooperation between NGOs and educational institutions (led by Elīza Elizabete Loja, Board Member of ‘Laiks Jauniešiem’).

💙 Thank you to everyone who helped lead the workshops and took part in the discussions; your contribution to the conference was truly invaluable!Thank you to everyone who helped run the workshops and took part in the discussions; your contribution to the conference was truly invaluable!

🎤 The conference featured a musical performance by Rēzija Anna Jaseviča, a finalist in ‘IR Talants’ and a winner of ‘Jaunatnei ir talants’, who delighted the audience with her wonderful performances. Thank you for finding the time on such a busy day!

✨️ We’ll be reporting on the project’s results, a summary of what’s been achieved, and the qualitative and quantitative indicators separately!

☀️ Thank you to Forum Cinemas for their top-class service, and to Stelpes Mineral Water, who NEVER fail to quench our thirst with their delicious water, in support of the “Laiks Jauniešiem” team.
