✍️ 🙌 On Thursday, 18 December 2025, Reinis Uzulnieks, Minister for Welfare, will visit the association ‘Laiks Jauniešiem’ in Bauska District, to meet residents of the social care centre and young people, as well as to learn about the activities of the European Solidarity Corps project “Time for Intergenerational Dialogue”.
🔵 The visit will begin at 10.00 at the “Derpele” Social Care Centre (Skolas iela 2, Anckaiši, Garoza, Mežotne Parish, Bauska Municipality). During the meeting, the Minister, together with young people and senior citizens, will decorate the centre’s premises in a festive spirit, and there will be an informal discussion on intergenerational cooperation, mutual support and community involvement.
📌 Participants will be able to find out more about the European Solidarity Corps project “Time for Intergenerational Dialogue”, which is run by young people, and the activities aimed at promoting intergenerational cooperation and implementing joint initiatives.
🔵 At 11.15 am, the meeting will continue in Bauska – at the premises of the organisation “Laiks Jauniešiem” (Slimnīcas iela 9, Bauska), where a discussion is planned on the project’s experiences, youth involvement and the next steps in strengthening intergenerational dialogue, as well as other issues relevant to young people.
