Latvia has done it – our national ice hockey team has beaten Hungary by an impressive 8–1 and secured a place in the quarter-finals! Excitement, pride and a real celebration of ice hockey were in the air across Latvia this evening, and Bauska was no exception.

To celebrate the victory and our national team’s fantastic performance, a patriotic flag parade took place in Bauska, with more than 200 cars taking part. And all this – on a weekday afternoon! It proves once again just how much ice hockey can bring people together, create a sense of community and instil genuine pride in one’s country. 🇱🇻

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, showed their support, cheered, waved flags and created this special atmosphere! A special thank you also to everyone who sent in videos and helped create this fantastic compilation – thanks to you, we can relive these emotions time and time again. 💪🏻
