Would you like to test yourself, develop your skills and gain practical experience? The organisation “Laiks Jauniešiem” invites young people aged 13 to 21 inclusive to apply for the Volunteer Leaders Academy!
At the academy, you will learn by doing and develop skills with the support of a mentor that will be useful in volunteering, education and later life.
Each task at the academy includes training and an evaluation of the work completed. The training will help you prepare for the task, while the evaluation and feedback will help you understand what went well, what you have learned and what you can do better next time. It will be an opportunity to recognise your strengths, improve your skills and become more confident in your abilities.
The academy’s areas of activity:
Social media and content
Events and informal groups
Administration and planning
By getting involved, you will be able to develop your collaboration and planning skills, learn to take responsibility and grow step by step as a leader.
Key information about participation:
Age: 13 to 21 inclusive.
Dates: 9 November 2026 to 14 February 2027.
Time commitment: approximately 10 hours per week.
Location: in person in Bauska or Riga.
Participation: voluntary and unpaid.
At the end of the academy, you will receive a certificate and have the opportunity to continue working with “Laiks Jauniešiem”.
