We offer a small overview of the informal youth workshop where 27 participants actively discussed the importance of elections and civic participation, generated various ideas on how to motivate young people to participate in elections and why civic participation is so important, and discussed what is important for young people in the context of elections.
During the events, young people felt in the roles of MEPs and citizens, playing a simulation of pre-elections, which helped young people to understand how the pre-election process was going on.
The participants studied where and how to get acquainted with party programs, candidate lists and engaged in various other activities for two days.
Already soon we will report on the joint debate of Bauskas election candidates and other planned activities within the project.
