✍🏻 🙌🏻 We are truly delighted that young people from Bauska Municipality have been actively nominated for the ‘Young Person of the Year 2025’ awards this year – we can confidently say that the young people in our municipality are knowledgeable, active and ambitious!
👉 Special congratulations this time go to the participants of “Laiks Jauniešiem” who lend a hand in our organisation’s day-to-day work and have been awarded the “Young Person of the Year 2025” title - Jānis Mārcis Grīnvalds (aged 13 to 15) and Līva Puriņa (aged 19 to 25).
📌 Līva is currently on a work assignment in Georgia and was unable to receive the award in person, but she would like to say that it is an honour and a great pleasure to receive the ‘Young Person of the Year 2025’ award, which confirms the importance of working with young people and inspires us to strive for even higher goals. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks – young people are the driving force of our present and the potential of our future, and investing in them is not only necessary but also truly inspiring.
📌 Jānis urges everyone to be active, to believe in themselves and not to be afraid of difficulties. If you have the will, you will succeed. I hope that each and every one of you will strive to be, in a year, two or three, standing right where I was yesterday. Thank you to everyone who has believed in me, supported me and guided me on the path to success.
🔵 To the young people who didn’t win the main awards, we’d like to say that a nomination is in itself a great honour – we urge you not to stop, not to lose heart, but quite the opposite: let’s carry on, moving only forwards to reach new heights together.
⭐ We are delighted that young people who, day in, day out, put their hearts into serving the community through the ‘Laiks Jauniešiem’ programme and activities are being recognised.
