✍️ 🏻 This is not just a document setting out conclusions – it is a compilation of the views of 193 young people on how they feel in their day-to-day communication, where misunderstandings arise, and what support they really need.
✨️ During the study, 12 focus group discussions were held in various educational institutions and youth settings across the Bauska district. The young people particularly highlighted topics such as the desire to be listened to, difficult family conversations, stress at school, public speaking, bullying, lack of sleep, burnout and difficulties in expressing their emotions confidently.
🙌🏻 Alongside the research, several significant activities have already been carried out as part of the project:
🔵 8 workshops for young people and parents, attended by 141 participants;
🔵 8 social skills workshops for specific target groups, involving 135 participants;
🔵 individual mentoring support for 6 young people;
🔵 2 information events at which the research findings and the direction of the app’s development were presented.
🧩 The testing phase for the interactive app “Do You Understand?” is also currently underway. It is being designed as a safe digital simulation environment where young people will be able to practise conversations, choose different roles, try out responses and see how their communication choices influence the course of a conversation and conflict resolution.
💛 The app also features gaming elements – avatar creation, role selection, interactive challenges, a progress system and various conversation outcomes.
👌 Very soon, “Do You Understand?” will be fully available to everyone, to help young people communicate more confidently, understand themselves and others better, and resolve everyday conflicts more peacefully.
