YOUNG PEOPLE ASK. POLITICIANS ANSWER.
On 12 September, we brought together representatives of 11 political parties at Īslīce Culture Centre for an open discussion about issues that matter to society, giving voters the opportunity to compare the candidates’ positions for themselves.
The event began with an unusual politicians’ talent show, but its main focus was a discussion on demographics, education, healthcare, regional development, public transport, taxation, social policy and youth policy. Views differed, the conversations were at times heated, but the questions were genuinely important to society.
The discussion was hosted by Gints Jankovskis and Elīza Elizabete Loja, while the event was broadcast by TV4. We are delighted that around 4,000 people watched the livestream on social media in total!
We do not tell you who to vote for. We create the opportunity to listen, ask questions, compare and make your own informed choice. Because democracy begins with participation — including young people’s participation!
