🙌🏻 A heartfelt thank you to the AUGT Foundation for the opportunity to take to this stage and discuss, alongside industry professionals, issues that are significant for the future of young people and education in Latvia.
✅️ During the discussion, we shared insights from our social innovation project ‘The Path to Understanding’, as part of which we listened to 193 young people in focus group discussions, exploring their needs, family relationships, social inclusion, learning difficulties and the support they require. These findings reaffirm that school is not just a place to acquire knowledge – it is an environment where a sense of security, a sense of belonging, self-confidence and belief in one’s own abilities are fostered.
🥰 A heartfelt thank you to Baiba Žiga and Madara Budova for the valuable discussion and for highlighting the importance of teachers’ wellbeing, emotional support and a safe working environment. For it is only when teachers themselves feel heard, valued and supported that they can create an environment in which young people also feel safe and can thrive.
✨️ Thank you also to everyone who attended, asked questions and took part in the discussion. We believe that only by working together can we create a school environment in which every young person and teacher feels heard, supported and able to thrive.
