#LAWAvailable 2.0

Project Objective

The main objective of the project is to promote civic participation amongst young people. During the project, we will promote non-formal learning about opportunities for youth engagement and dialogue with decision-makers.

Target Group

The project aims to reach young people aged between 13 and 30, with a particular focus on those facing various forms of disadvantage, although all interested parties are invited to take part in the activities. Our main focus is on young people at social risk. These young people will be engaged through the ‘MĒS – JAUNIEŠIEM’ mentoring network, established in collaboration with the Bauska District Social Services and the organisation ‘Laiks Jauniešiem’

Key Activities

  • Project launch event
  • Informal workshops
  • Training in digital tools and development of practical skills
  • Project closing conference

Expected Project Outcomes

The project will promote young people’s understanding of their involvement in national-level decision-making, not only amongst the young people involved in the project but also on a wider scale, as all project activities, as well as the project’s output – the educational video – will be shared on social media and will be presented in a way that is engaging and interesting to young people, thereby ensuring that as many young people as possible gain knowledge in an informal way. We will also actively disseminate the project’s experience, the knowledge gained and the results produced regarding young people’s participation in national decision-making to the wider public, in order to promote understanding of the opportunities for young people to engage in decision-making.
