Mentors from the “MES – FOR YOUNG PEOPLE” mentoring network

The association “Laiks Jauniešiem” provides the “MĒS – JAUNIEŠIEM” mentoring network service to young people from various social groups who express a desire and a need for a support person – a mentor. This service is procured by local authorities or their social services, or the organisation includes it in project calls for proposals. Our organisation’s mentors have successfully completed the mentor training courses provided by the “YOU+ Development Platform” and continue to develop their skills through collaboration with various institutions and businesses.

Currently, the organisation’s services are being utilised by the Bauska District Council’s Social Services Department as part of a pilot project. By February 2024, we plan to officially register this service as a social support service for young people belonging to a social risk group, as well as to offer this service to other local authorities. Our mission is not to judge, but to help young people achieve their goals, both big and small, by providing long-term support.

  1. At the start of the year, we plan to run a new recruitment campaign for mentors; the course will be led by Gints Jankovskis, head of the organisation ‘Laiks Jauniešiem’. If you’d like to be part of our team, please keep an eye out for updates or get in touch with our team in good time!
